Pink

“Pink represents compassion, love, and nurturing. Let it guide your actions.” ~ Sophia Richards

We are about to fall in love. Pink is the colour of unconditional love, softness and tenderness. It reminds us of the pure, carefree love we experienced as children or the love we give to a child ourselves. Where red often symbolises passion and strength, pink is its gentle counterpart: a love that does not claim or demand, but soothes and comforts.

Pink is the colour of warmth, acceptance and connection: an invitation to embrace yourself and others without judgement. It shows us that love does not need to be harsh to be powerful; true strength lies in vulnerability. Pink encourages compassion and invites us to view the world with gentleness. It can also help heal inner wounds, as it evokes feelings of safety and security. Pink opens the heart to forgiveness and allows trust to return.

In a world that often feels fast-paced, hard and demanding, pink brings us back to the essence: love in its purest form. It reminds you that you are good enough exactly as you are and that true love always begins within.

We are worthy of love. We do not need validation from others to prove this. Our existence alone is proof. We are creations of God: we are here. Loving yourself is essential, because only then can you truly share your love with the world.

Love is the easiest gift we have been given, yet we have turned it into one of the most complicated concepts. Let’s change that together and ensure that love is expressed in the world as it was always meant to be.

I believe the colour pink never causes harm, so invite it into your life as much as possible. If it is not your colour or if you feel hesitant because of what others might think (which truly does not matter, though I understand it can feel uncomfortable), use it subtly. Still, surround yourself with it. You deserve to love unconditionally and to receive love in return.

Practical tips
- Writing: write down three kind words about yourself. This can be challenging, so if needed, ask your best friend, partner, children or parents what they appreciate about you. Colour the page in shades of pink around the words you have written.
- Clothing: what you wear affects not only how you feel, but also how others perceive you. Consciously choosing certain colours can influence your behaviour and mood. Consider pink jewellery (earrings, rings or bracelets), pink details or patterns in your clothing, pink socks or pink underwear.

Pink invites you to fall in love with yourself. Let it be a reminder that love already lives within you and that simply by existing, you make the world a more beautiful place.
