Red

“Red protects itself. No color is as territorial. It stakes a claim, is on the alert against the spectrum.”
~ Derek Jarman

Red is the colour of fire, life and primal power. Think of the rhythm of a beating heart, the glow of a sunset or the warm light of candles. It symbolises passion, courage and vitality, but also warning and boundaries. Red carries a dual nature: it can empower you and set you in motion, yet it can also confront you with your own intensity.

When you see or wear red, something shifts. Your body responds, your heart rate rises and you feel more energised and alert. It is no coincidence that red is so widely used in marketing and fashion to convey strength and attraction. Red activates, challenges and challenges you to step beyond your comfort zone.

Red also has a darker side. It can feel restless or overwhelming and at times even aggressive. Too much red may awaken a destructive edge, relentless in its hunger for power and influence. Yet this is not necessarily negative. That same raw, confronting energy can help you break free from whatever is holding back your growth. Red can be the push you need to move forward.

The key lies in balance. Use red consciously and in moderation and you will notice it channelling your energy into decisiveness, confidence and warmth. It reminds you that you are alive, that you feel, that you dare. Red activates you to be visible, to take up space and to let your inner fire burn.

How to use red subtly
- Food: add red to your daily diet, for example by eating red fruits. A small addition, yet surprisingly powerful.
- Clothing: what you wear influences not only how you feel, but also how others perceive you. Red can be woven into your outfit in subtle ways: a ring, earrings, a pattern in your blouse, red socks or red underwear.

Red is passion and action. A reminder that you carry the power within you to move, to feel and to let your inner fire speak.
